On Melrose Street in Buena Park, Lodge #2046 has earned a 4.5-star reputation by doing something most clubs only talk about: actually showing up for people. Tuesday nights belong to DJ Gordie and his devoted line-dancing crowd, filling the hall with boot-stomping energy from 5 to 10 p.m. On the first Friday of every month, the parking lot transforms into a Classic Car Show complete with awards and drawings, drawing polished chrome and proud owners from across Orange County.

Holiday season here means something special. Past members still talk about the dinner dance with a big band orchestra and live vocalists, the kind of evening that reminds you why gathering in person still matters. Regular Friday dinners run from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., often with a DJ spinning alongside the meal. The lodge also connects members to broader Elks activities, including Wednesday outings to El Dorado Park in Long Beach.

Lodge #2046 is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national fraternal organization with deep roots in veterans support, youth programs, and local charitable giving. This is a members-driven space with real events on a real calendar, not a hollow clubhouse collecting dust.

What We Offer

Tuesday nights are your entry point. Line dancing with DJ Gordie runs 5 to 10 p.m. every week, no experience required, just a willingness to move your feet and meet your neighbors. The energy is social, inclusive, and genuinely fun.

The First Friday Classic Car Show is a monthly highlight, rolling from 4 to 8 p.m. with vehicle awards, raffle drawings, and the kind of casual camaraderie that car culture does best. Friday dinners follow a simple formula: hot food, good company, and an optional DJ to keep the mood up from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Beyond weekly events, the lodge hosts seasonal dinner dances, charitable fundraisers, and member-only gatherings tied to the broader Elks network. Membership opens access to all of it, plus reciprocal privileges at Elks lodges nationwide. Contact the lodge directly through the national Elks website to ask about membership eligibility and upcoming events.

"Buena Park Elks Lodge is a stain on our community. I live in the neighborhood and every time they have an event they take up all the public parking when they have a huge parking lot for themselves. Their events cause trash to be left up and down the streets. As well as the people who attend these events are usually rude and irresponsible and ultimately leave the events drunk causing it to be unsafe on the street. The events are loud and disturbing to the residents nearby. I can't believe the Elks mask their operation as a community friendly organization. They are not kind to the people who live near them."
